Export Document

This action will let you export a Google Docs from a Google Drive into another supported file type.

Fields

  1. Name - By default, it is prefilled by the name of the action. You can change it based on your preferred action name.
  2. Connection - Your selected Google Drive connection. Note that you have to select the connection where you have access to view, edit, create, or delete files.
  3. Source File - The Google Docs to be exported.
  4. Output Folder - The folder where the exported file will be saved.
  5. Output File Name - The file name to be given to the exported file.
  6. Export Type - The file type to export to.

Demonstration on how to use it in a flow

  1. Drag and drop the Export Document action into the flow.
  2. Click the gear icon to open its settings. Google Docs Template
  3. Click the Connection dropdown list and select a particular Google Drive connection Google Docs Template Google Docs Template

    Or you can set up a new Google Drive connection by clicking the “Add Connection” icon. Google Docs Template

  4. Select a Google Docs as the file to be exported. To do it, click the "Google Drive" icon on the Source File field.

  5. Navigate to the file then select it.
  6. Click the “Select” button. Google Docs Template
  7. Select the folder where the exported file will be saved. To do it, click the "Google Drive" icon on the Output Folder field.
  8. Navigate to the folder and select it.
  9. Click the "Select" button. Google Docs Template
  10. Enter your desired file name of the exported file. Google Docs Template
  11. Select the file type you want the source file to be exported. Click the dropdown icon on the Export Type field then select from the list.

Result

Upon executing this flow, the Google Docs Contract will be exported into an MS Word Document file type. The name of the exported file will be "Contract in MS Word Document Type" and will be saved to the Exported Contracts folder. Google Docs Template
